LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me…” (Philippians 4:13, the Holy Bible).

AND KNK: DO THINGS WITH THE STRENGTH GOD GAVE US: Here is a reminder from the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (AND KNK, or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church: Many times in our lives, when problems and challenges confront us, we are overwhelmed with feelings of inadequacy and helplessness and most often come around believing that we are powerless to solve these problem or confront these challenges.
But this should not to be so, because we have been given a spirit of victory, as the Bible in 1 John 5:4 says: “…for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith…”
During the time of Gideon (see Judges 6 and 7 of the Bible), an Israelite who considered himself the least---and therefore insignificant---among his family members, he was told by God to lead his people in fighting their oppressors who made life difficult for them by taking all their animals and produce.
Gideon said he can not do it because he was insignificant, but God told him to go in whatever strength he had, because He will be with him. Gideon believed God and led his people to victory. This is what we should also do---go in the strength God has given us to overcome our problems and defeat our enemies.

GREEDINESS OF THE RICH, NOT THE BIG NUMBER OF THE POOR: A comment on birth control taken from the Internet e-group “Filipinos Worldwide”: “The problem of overpopulation in the Philippines is best illustrated with a pie. For instance, if a couple has five children, each child will get 1/5 share or 20 percent of the pie.
“If a couple has two children, each child will get 1/2 share or 50 percent of the pie. In short, more food would be available per child if couples would only have fewer children.” My reaction: This sidesteps the issue of how big or how small the pie is, in the first place.
Even if there are only two children, if the pie is already small, it doesn't really help that there are only two children. Even if there are five children, if the pie is really big, then, it doesn't really matter that there are five children.
Clearly, what really matters is how big is the pie. The problem hereabouts is that 9/10 of the pie is held by only 1/10 of the people---thereby really depressing the size of the pie available to the 9/10 of the population. The 9/10 of the pie is held only by 1/10 of the people, and this is where the problem lies.
Now, if only the rich, who compose 1/10 of the population, would not be so greedy with the size of the pie they have, if only this 1/10 of the population would not be so corrupt as to want to corner 9/10 of the pie all the time, then it would not really matter how many children a couple will have. Then, we can comply with God's directive for man to fill the earth, increase in number and subdue the world.
