LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “… `The Father and I are one’…” (Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, in John 10:30, the Holy Bible).

BIBLE ABOUNDS WITH PROOF THAT JESUS IS GOD: The daily, Mondays to Fridays, 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., broadcast of the Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo (or AND KNK, the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ) Church, entitled “Ang Tanging Daan” (The Sole Way), shows that the Bible, in describing the life of Jesus here on earth, abounds with proof that He is God and Savior.
As of this writing, AND KNK has already aired 25 broadcasts over DWAD, 1098 kHz in Metro Manila, featuring 10 specific incidents in the life of Jesus showing He is God and Savior. The first five of these are the proclamation of His coming, the visit of Mary to Elizabeth, His birth, His dedication at the Temple, and His being found in the Temple when He was already 12 years old.
The second five are the baptism of Jesus, the wedding at Cana, the proclamation of God’s Kingdom, His Transfiguration, and His having established the rule on His Holy Union with believers who accept and have faith on Him as God and Savior.

“ANG TANGING DAAN” SHOWS PROOF THAT JESUS IS GOD: In the coming week, AND KNK’s “Ang Tanging Daan” will feature the third set of specific incidents in the life of Jesus which shows Him in agony and in various stages of suffering, including His crucifixion and death on the cross.
These incidents are His praying in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, torture at the Temple, putting a crown of thorns in His head, carrying of His cross, and crucifixion and death on that cross. When studied carefully, all these instances of agony, suffering and death will show who Jesus really is---that He is God and Savior, without any doubt.
Let us take the incident where Jesus prayed in agony. Many will say that this incident will prove Jesus is not God, otherwise, why will He pray and then acknowledge that there is a God, His Father? Certainly, this is the easiest way of looking at this, but, a more careful and perceptive study will show that Jesus was not praying for Himself.

JESUS, AS GOD AND SAVIOR, ACCEPTS PENALTY FOR MAN’S SINS: Jesus in fact prayed “with agony” in the Garden of Gethsemane to show what man should do, when he is faced with very grave situations in His life. Jesus prayed not because He needed the prayers for Himself, but to point out that man should pray urgently during his most trying times.
And as in all the other incidents where Jesus underwent agony and suffering, the prayer at the Garden was made by Jesus as the “representative”---albeit the “holy” and “most worthy” representative---of the terribly sinful man. He was praying in agony in representation of man, on account of the fact that, because of his sinfulness, man was destined to suffer eternal fire and worms.
Viewed from this perspective, it wouldn’t be too hard to see that each and every suffering and the death He went through took place not because Jesus was man deserving punishment, but because He is a loving and forgiving God, agreeing to receive the grave punishment that should befall mankind because of their sins. It was an act of Grace by a God that loved His creation so much, to spare them from eternal hell.
