LIFE'S INSPIRATIONS: "... Do not be anxious about anything but by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God..." (Philippians 4:6, the Holy Bible).

SPECIAL REASON WHY FILIPINOS SHOULD READ AND OBEY THE BIBLE: There is a special reason why Filipinos should know and follow the Biblical admonitions for believers to listen to, and obey, the commands of God, especially that which is written in Joshua 1:8 in this manner: “Do not forget to read the Book of the Law, meditate on it day and night, carefully obeying everything that is written in it, so that you would become successful and prosperous.”
This special reason concerns the role that has been given to Filipinos, who have accepted and believed in Jesus Christ as God and Savior, in fulfilling the work of preaching the Word and saving souls during the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the coming destruction of the world.
According to Matthew 24, there is an appointed time (although undisclosed as of now) for the Second Coming of Jesus, and the end of the world by fire. This Second Coming and the end of the world will be preceded and heralded by certain well-defined events, like wars, hunger and famine, earthquakes, calamities, fearful signs in the sky, and betrayals among family members.

RENEWING OUR MINDS FOR SUCCESS: How do we become “transformed by the renewing of our mind”? The Apostle Paul, writing in Ephesians 4:8, gives this advice: “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
What are the things that are excellent and praiseworthy that all of us should be thinking about? First is the fact that Jesus Christ is God and Savior (see John 1:1-14, Isaiah 7:14 and 9:6 and Matthew 1:18-25), that He loves us ever so greatly He Himself came down from heaven so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life (John 3:16).
Second, Jesus told us not to worry about anything, even about tomorrow, and that, rather, we should seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and He will give us all the things we need and desire (Matthew 6:25-34), that we can do all things through Him (Philippians 4:13) because the Spirit He has given us is greater than the spirit that is in this world. So, stop worrying!

WORRYING SHOWS LACK OF FAITH IN GOD: Today, let us look at the subject matter of “worrying”. Many of us engage in this habit regularly, making it almost as an inseparable part of our lives. We worry about almost everything. We seem to think that nothing will ever work out right. We worry that we will have no money, we worry about our health, about our work, about our families. This is not good.
The fact is that, if we worry, we are actually confessing that we do not have faith in God. We are actually saying that God will not be able to take care of our needs, and of our lives. We are in fact making God a liar, telling Him His promises of love, care, protection, guidance and blessings are not true, and that there is a force greater than Him that would ruin all these promises.
Well, it is time to stop all these worrying. It is time to change our minds. This is what we should do---change our minds---as Romans 12:1-2 of the Bible is telling us. It says: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will…”
